Legal & policies
Clear terms for using the website and visiting the venue.
These policies explain how this demonstration website operates, how personal information would be handled in a live environment, the terms that apply to site use, and the venue’s responsible-gambling position.
Last updated: 15 September 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Orlessian Reserve House website and to personal information provided in connection with dining enquiries, venue questions and other guest communications. The website is intended primarily for users in New Zealand.
The current version of this site is a static demonstration. Its forms validate information in your browser but do not transmit or store submitted details. If the site is connected to a live booking or contact system in future, this policy should be updated before that processing begins.
2. Information that may be provided
Depending on how you contact the venue, information could include your name, email address, phone number, preferred dining date or time, party size, enquiry topic and any message you choose to send. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in free-text fields.
3. Purpose of collection
In a live operational setting, information would be used only for relevant business purposes such as responding to an enquiry, managing a dining request, coordinating a group visit, addressing an accessibility question, maintaining venue security, meeting legal obligations or resolving a complaint.
4. Sharing and service providers
Personal information should not be sold. Where a service provider is required for functions such as hosting, reservation management or email delivery, only the information reasonably needed for that service should be provided, subject to appropriate contractual and security arrangements.
5. Retention and security
Operational records should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, including any applicable legal, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards should be used to reduce the risk of loss, misuse or unauthorised access.
6. Access and correction
If personal information about you is held by the live venue operation, you may request access to it or ask for correction in accordance with applicable New Zealand privacy law, subject to lawful exceptions. Requests should be sent to the legal contact listed below.
7. External websites
Links to independent support services or other third-party websites are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are controlled by those organisations, not by Orlessian Reserve House.
1. Website use
You may use this website for lawful personal information and enquiry purposes. You must not interfere with the site’s operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape the site in a way that disrupts service, or use content to misrepresent an affiliation with Orlessian Reserve House.
2. Information is general
Website content is provided for general information. Menus, opening hours, table availability, game availability, venue access arrangements and other operational details can change. Current on-site information and direct confirmation from the venue take precedence over older website content.
3. Dining requests
Submitting a reservation request does not create a confirmed booking unless the venue separately confirms it through an operational channel. Dietary or access requests should be discussed in advance and are subject to what can reasonably be accommodated at the time.
4. Casino access
The gaming area is restricted to persons aged 20 or over. Valid photo identification may be requested. Entry may also be subject to venue rules, capacity, exclusion requirements and applicable New Zealand law.
5. Gambling outcomes
Casino gambling involves financial risk. Outcomes are uncertain and no website statement should be read as a guarantee of winnings, returns, recovery of losses or financial benefit. Gambling should be treated as entertainment with predetermined time and spending limits.
6. Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward staff and other guests, follow reasonable venue instructions and comply with safety, security and gaming-floor procedures. The venue may refuse or end service where lawful and appropriate.
7. Intellectual property
The Orlessian Reserve House name, branding, page design and original website text are protected to the extent provided by applicable law. Site content may not be copied or republished for commercial use without permission, except where a legal exception applies.
8. Third-party links
Independent support or information websites may be linked from the site. A link does not mean Orlessian Reserve House controls, endorses or guarantees third-party content, availability or security.
9. Availability and changes
The website may be changed, suspended or updated without notice. Reasonable efforts are made to keep information accurate, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Orlessian Reserve House is not responsible for indirect loss arising solely from reliance on outdated general website information or from third-party services outside its control.
11. Governing context
These terms are intended for a New Zealand venue and should be interpreted consistently with applicable New Zealand law. Any operational legal policy should be reviewed by qualified local counsel before publication on a live commercial service.
Current site behaviour
This static demonstration does not use advertising cookies, behavioural profiling or third-party analytics scripts. It also does not submit form data to a server.
Basic browser storage may be used only for local interface preferences if that functionality is enabled, for example remembering that a notice has been dismissed. Such storage remains on the user’s device and is not used here to build an advertising profile.
If functionality changes
If a future live version introduces analytics, reservation technology, embedded third-party services or other non-essential cookies, this policy and any consent controls should be updated before those technologies are activated.
Browser controls
You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so may reset preferences on websites that use those features.
No optional tracking preferences are active on this static demonstration site.
R20 casino gambling area
Casino gambling in New Zealand is restricted to persons aged 20 or over. Guests may be asked to present valid photo identification before entering a gaming area.
Keep gambling as entertainment
Set both a time limit and a spending limit before you begin. Use only money that is genuinely available for entertainment. Do not borrow to gamble, do not use money needed for everyday commitments, and do not increase stakes in an attempt to recover previous losses.
Take breaks and notice changes
Regularly step away from the gaming floor. If gambling starts taking more time or money than intended, becomes difficult to stop, causes secrecy or conflict, or stops feeling enjoyable, treat that as a reason to pause and seek support.

Independent support is available for people concerned about their own gambling or someone else’s.
Exclusion and venue support
Guests who want help stepping away from gambling can speak with venue staff about available exclusion processes and can also contact independent gambling-support services for guidance.
The website is built with semantic page landmarks, labelled form fields, keyboard-operable navigation, visible focus states, alternative text for meaningful images and responsive layouts intended to work across common screen sizes.
If you encounter a barrier when using the website, contact the venue with the page, device and problem you experienced. Accessibility enquiries for a physical visit should be made before arrival so current entrance, seating and route information can be explained.
Because this is a static demonstration, accessibility should be retested if new widgets, booking platforms, embedded media or third-party scripts are added later.

For a privacy access or correction request, identify the nature of the request and provide enough information for the relevant record to be located. Do not send identity documents through an unsecured channel unless the live venue team specifically provides an appropriate process.
